THE POWHATAN PROJECT
An exploration of the natural and spiritual history of the Potomac River and the Northern Neck. The land where the English first met the native peoples of the Powhatan confederacy, over 400 years ago, and my home for many years. Time, and the perennial rhythms of tides, wind, seasons, growth, death and birth expressed in paint and digital photography. The patterns of the plants and animals which have lived here for thousands of years.
Time: the ever-present past, the ever-Present, and the uncertain future.
